Investing in Career Success

14th December 2017 – Head of Community Development of the Make It Right Movement Brian Lariche was invited to speak at the “Investing in Career Success” talk held on Thursday, 14 December 2017, from 5 pm to 8 pm at Dewan Perdana 1, Bangunan Hepa, Universiti Malaya. Organised by the Financial Literacy for Youths (FLY) in collaboration with Majlis Perwakilan Pelajar Universiti Malaya (MPPUM), the talk was attended by close to 50 individuals.

Mr Lariche, who is also on the Asia Board of Aflatoun International (an NGO based in the Netherlands offering social and financial education to children and young people worldwide), conducted a session on how to effectively present oneself, the importance of being self-aware, and the necessary improvements to make to secure a job. The session was designed to help those who are currently looking for employment, and to prepare students for the job market.

Financial Literacy for Youth (FLY) is an initiative started by two students from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), Nur Izzat Aiman bin Nur Aziz (BSc Accounting and Finance) and Adam Tiam Wen Yong (BSc Actuarial Science), in July 2015. It aims to raise public awareness on the importance of financial knowledge and how it can empower youths.
