Much needed therapy for one child costs RM80/hour. Almost all who have been aided by the SSMH team have moved on to live more fulfilling lives. Thank you for joining us this Mother's Day! Together we raised RM32,000 which will be put directly towards improving the lives of these children.

SSMH is a voluntary welfare organization established in 1984 and registered with the Registrar of Societies with the objective of providing rehabilitation facilities to children and youths with severe mental and physical (multiple) disabilities. Following this objective, a Day Care and Training Centre was set up in June 1985. The Centre started with a small group of severely mentally disabled children and 4 staff. Today, the Centre has 10 Staff comprising an Administrator, a Physiotherapist, an Occupational Therapist, a Speech Therapist, 5 Teachers and a Housekeeper. It has an enrolment of 20 children in the Individual Education Program, and 9 teens and young adults in the Living Skills Group. Please call Mr Tham at +6012 341 8038 for more information about SSMH.

Bake A Difference - RM 4,700 was raised through a bake sale in aid of the Society for the Severely Mentally Handicapped Selangor and Federal Territory.
SSMH Charity Carnival - BAC helped SSMH organize a 2 day carnival to raise funds for their ongoing education and rehabilitation programs as well as raising public awareness about the children’s needs and the work that that SSMH does to equip the children with skills to enable them to achieve some independence and self-help in their lives.
SSMH Charity Movie Screening - A special screening of the most eagerly anticipated movie of the year,
Star Wars, was held at TGV Cinema, Jaya Shopping Centre with all proceeds going to SSMH.
